This brand offers a selection of handcrafted knitwear, based in Antwerp, with several stores located around Belgium. From women’s tops, cardigans and dresses, to children’s clothing and interiors, everything is so beautiful and delicate, yet built to last, made from superior soft quality threads. Garments can even be made to order so you can achieve your dream style!

Our pick from Ailanto is from their beautiful selection of printed blankets and tablecloths, although there is also a clothing offering that’s worth checking out too. The brand was created by twin brothers, named after Ailanto, an ornamental tree known as the “tree of heaven”. Ailanto offers global shipping, with physical stores located in Barcelona and Madrid.

Laagam is a Barcelona-based brand, with full transparency clearly displayed in the header of their website (including information on factories, taxes, COVID and total traceability). Selling affordable, vegan approved, plastic positive, carbon neutral clothing, on a basis where what is needed is produced, meaning there is no wasted product.

London-based brand Shrimps is renowned for their faux fur outerwear and handmade jewellery, with a commitment to cruelty free fashion. The brand works with local artisans for sampling and production, sources traditional tartan fabrics from Scotland and heavily features wool, for its long-lasting and self-cleaning properties. As featured in our edit, the beaded accessories are handmade in India, from a factory Shrimps hold a long-standing relationship with. The brand have also introduced innovative recycled fabrics, including faux-sheepskin, for their A/W20 collection.

Alex Eagle Studio

The physical space is definitely one to visit, the perfect blend of gallery and store to create innovative retail and co-working spaces, located in London, Berlin and the Cotswolds. As well as art, books and homeware, the studio offers a timeless essentials collection of women’s suiting and cashmere pieces, perfect relaxing over the holiday season and getting New Year-ready.

Ararose’s mission is to “stop waste and fast fashion culture with ethically made, classically designed clothes for a mix and match capsule wardrobe that plant trees with every purchase.” An 100% vegan and transparent brand that uses sustainable fabrics, what’s not to love?! Our edit here features some of their graphic print tees made from organic cotton, as a more basic staple to a wardrobe, especially for working from home. If this wasn’t enough to check out Ararose, they also offer a recycling scheme where you can earn store credit for returning your worn Ararose clothing for resale!
