Trigger Alert: It will have you seriously craving a holiday

The global pandemic has hit home the hardest, and we've been under lockdown for what feels like forever. And as each day passes, while some of us are thriving and making each hour of the day productive, others are still trying to make peace with the situation and adjust to the new normal, not knowing how long this 'new normal' will also last. And as of now, the word 'holiday' feels like a distant dream. Something that is unattainable, atleast in the near future. In the name of keeping ourselves entertained (or even distracted), we've tried everything from binge-watching shows and movies to endless Instagram scrolls, but it's time to take a break to rejuvenate and hit refresh on our new routines. A good way to do this is look upto brands that are bringing new and innovative content to the internet space.

One such exmaple is AiSPi, a unique fashion project that stems from bridging a gap between consumers and the hidden gems of the fashion world. With their newest initiative #AISPIaNewFashionJourney, a first-of-its-kind 21-day Summer vacation and fashion voyage for the Indian consumers (that started on 19th June), they plan to bring a distinct selection of 25 contemporary, inaccessible European designers and brands together.

The campaign is driven towards promoting unique experiences while connecting creative and fashion lovers to local designers and boutiques in Europe. And if you're a fashion enthusiast that is constantly on the lookout for new brands and are craving travel shopping, this is just the right place for you. Being confined to homes doesn’t mean you can't still enjoy summer and travel around the world. This 3-week tour of Europe will offer an experience for everyone combining art, cuisine, travel adventures, popular markets, history walks and more, with the most exciting designers, store owners and fashion insiders.

As consumers explore different cities throughout each week, AiSPi has curated exclusive experiences in association with designers, fashion and lifestyle influencers, stylists, and speakers, to transport guests to the local city and experience what they could have, firsthand. From exclusive product offerings to curated fashion edits, to culture conversations and local masterclasses, they are bringing to life, a whole new fashion virtual vacation you wouldn’t want to miss.

Another point that draws us to this initiative is that 100% of all profits generated from this campaign will be donated towards two charities supporting vulnerable communities and those who are abused due to social taboos. The first one, Jan Sahas in India, works towards empowering women and and young girls by eliminating discrimination, preventing violence, educating and empowering and creating awareness. The second one is Le Refuge in France, they host and supports young LGBT + people rejected by their parents, driven from the family home, because they are homosexual or trans and/or in questioning of identity.

“Fashion is an emotion, an experience, a connector - fashion is borderless. It is a very tangible and practical way to connect and remember culture and craft from all corners of the world. We see AiSPi’s new initiative as a valuable revolution in the fashion system. AiSPi started off as a simple fashion project to create an impact in an industry. We have impacted the lives of over 350 shops and designers and 60 emerging artists. Our focus is to bring niche fashion to different parts of the world, starting with connecting Europe and India and in the future, other regions as well. India has an unparalleled potential and we are confident to unite with the consumer network that is consumed by experiences, the need for being unique and owning things that tell a story about them!” says Aisha Saraf Kothari, founder of AiSPi.

At the same time, while developing countries like India and Indian travelers have high potential, western contemporary wear has not yet penetrated their market. Independent designers have a hard time expanding to these regions or attracting tourists. There is also wasteful productions due to the fashion cycle and fashion is the only industry where there is no monetary reward for early fashion adopters.

Some of the key European designers and labels are a part of this campaign, the renowned names including 0711, Akanksha Sethi, Fyodor Golan, L’alingi, Rosantica, ODP, Concepto, Nita Suri amongst others.
